Picot Ring

This ring is super simple for even beginners. Since it is so small it is also easy to alter to fit any finger size.

Picot Ring

You will find more of my patterns here on Ravelry.com.

  • 2.75 mm crochet hook
  • ~ 5 yards sport weight yarn (color A)
  • ~ 3 yards sport weight yarn (color B)
  • Suggested yarns: Mirasol Yarn Nuna
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge is not particularly important for this pattern as you can add rows to make the ring taller and you can add chains to the initial chain to make the ring fit any finger size. This could also be greatly enlarged to fit the wrist as a cuff. Note: The starting chain noted below creates a 5.5 diameter ring.

  • ch – chain
  • sts – stitches
  • ss – slip stitch
  • sc – single crochet

Ring Instructions

ch. 17 with color A

Row 1: sc in 2nd chain from hook and remaining chains; slip stitch to the initial chain to form a ring

Rows 2-3: ch 1; sc across; sl st to the first sc

Cut yarn and weave in the ends.

Edging Instructions

(Note: It does not matter which side you call “top”; just know the other side will be then be the bottom.)

Attach the color B yarn and sc in every sc across the top; sl st to the first sc; cut yarn; weave in ends

Attach color B yarn and (sc, ch 3, sc) in every stitch across the bottom

Note: This is a relatively simple pattern; however, it has not yet been tested. Please let me know if you have any feedback! Also, this pattern may be used for whatever purpose you would like to use it. If you happen to sell something using this pattern, please put a link to my blog.

Crochet Jewelry

Last night was an exciting night.

Every month my local yarn shop hosts a Friday Night Knit Club with a cool theme and last night was a jewelry party. They know my love for crochet so they asked me to design a couple of pieces to showcase. It was a busy few weeks, but I love the results. Below you will find some pictures of the jewelry I created and on Sunday I will post all of the patterns I wrote up. They will be right here on the blog and also here on Ravelry. (There will also be more pictures here on the blog with other designs!)
