Elegant Spiral Accessory

This pattern can be used to make all kinds of accessories. It is easy to alter the yarn and/or stitch count to make a necklace, bracelet, anklet, or belt. The instructions below are specifically for a 22″ necklace and a 53″ belt.

Elegant Spiral Belt

Elegant Spiral Belt

You will find more of my patterns here on Ravelry.com.

Materials

  • 3.5 mm 4.0 mm crochet hooks for smaller pieces (belt)
  • ~ 45 yards DK weight yarn (color A)
  • ~ 20 yards worsted weight yarn (color B)
  • Suggested yarns: Naturally Caron Spa & Malabrigo Rios
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge

Gauge is not particularly important for this pattern as you can add chains to make the accessory longer and decrease chains to make it shorter. This could also be greatly reduced to create a necklace, bracelet, or anklet. Note: The starting chain noted below creates a 53″ belt.

Abbreviations

  • ch – chain
  • sts – stitches
  • ss – slip stitch
  • sc – single crochet
  • dc – double crochet

Belt Instructions

  • ch. 74 with color A
  • 4 dc in the 4th chain from hook and remaining chains
  • Cut yarn and weave in ends
  • Attach the contrasting color to the bottom of the last dc and sc up the side (2 sc)
  • Continue to sc in the top of each dc and then sc down the side of the last dc
  • Cut the yarn and make an invisible join; weave in ends

Materials

  • 3.5 mm crochet hook for smaller pieces (necklace, bracelet, anklet)
  • ~ 30 yards sport weight yarn (color A)
  • ~ 15 yards sport weight yarn (color B)
  • Suggested yarns: Mirasol Yarn Nuna
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge

Gauge is not particularly important for this pattern as you can add chains to make the accessory longer and decrease chains to make it shorter. This could also be greatly enlarged to fit the waist as a belt. Note: The starting chain noted below creates a 22″ necklace.

Abbreviations

  • ch – chain
  • sts – stitches
  • ss – slip stitch
  • sc – single crochet
  • dc – double crochet

Necklace Instructions

  • ch. 104 with color A
  • 4 dc in fourth chain and next 75 chains
  • Cut yarn and weave in end
  • Attach the contrasting color to the end without the chains and sc in every dc
  • When you come to the last dc then sc down the side of the last stitch and continue to ss in the back of the beginning chain
  • When you get to the end bring it around to the beginning (where you first started with the contrasting color) and attach it by doing a sc up the side of the initial dc
  • Cut the yarn and make an invisible join; weave in ends

Note: This is a relatively simple pattern; however, it has not yet been tested. Please let me know if you have any feedback! Also, this pattern may be used for whatever purpose you would like to use it. If you happen to sell something using this pattern, please put a link to my blog.

I made the Elegant Spiral Necklace. It couldn’t have been easier – turned out lovely! This is a wonderful necklace, especially if you want something a bit larger that doesn’t weigh a lot. Thank you for the pattern!.
